got back on the bike after four years off it. by christ, i am not as fit as i used to be.

I bought my first bike in 15 years in February and it only took me a month or so to get back into the swing of it. Now using it to occasionally cycle to work (over 70 km round trip) and been having great fun cycling around south Dublin/north Wicklow.

I never figured that out. I have 2 helmets for the commute and rotate every second day. Seems to stop them stinking, unless its raining out.

There's something on sale in lidel or one of those now you were it between your head and the helmet it can be washed im sure.
Seem's really expensive though.

I've moved house and now have to cross the city twice a day. It's fun when it's bright, not so much in the dark.

impressive. I just cycled 10 miles without being able to see where I was going. That rain was incredible.

Similar to biking in heavy snow. You can't look straight ahead or you will get icy snow bouncing on your eyeballs.
So you kind of just look down and can only see like 10 feet ahead of you.

yep, except rain isn't as bad as snow. Snow cuts the face off you. The rain isn't too bad that way, and its not that cold here. So not too bad. The wind is a bit dodge though. Closest I've come to been fully blown off the bike.
