Jaysus cycling! (7 Viewers)

Check this lad out from my cycle the other day. Phoenix park, double yellows, blocking both bike lanes, forcing people out into a single lane of oncoming traffic. Real sweetheart when I told him he couldn't park there.

On my way home for cycling this part of Spain. Been trying to get to this area on a bike for years. Stunning altogether. About 1000m climbed each day all with the bike being about 30kg. Not even recommendable to someone experienced tbh because so much is 100% not actually roads or cycling rather pushing something heavy up a rough track for 2 km.
My bike was grand but I did 4 roadside rescue repairs for folks with less tools on board.

the transatlantic way - an unsupported endurance bike race - starts in a couple of days; 2500km or an easier 1700km course; the main route follows the full wild atlantic way AFAIK.
interesting to see the spread of ages, from the people who have sent bike details in - from 23 to 75.

Ciaran Fitzgerald is going to have a sore hole with that saddle

passing one the LBS' today and the guy was cleaning a pure white bike. On closer inspection it was a fairly decent but extremely weathered old thing converted to a single speed and sprayed white.

This implies to me, strongly, that it's a ghost bike. And so, a stolen ghost bike.

It's not quite the same as stealing a headstone or something, but it's freaked me out a bit. Shopkeeper said "You're not the first person to say that. I'll have a word with the guy".

Do people still do ghost bike memorials?

To raise money for Gaza, 83 year old Anne Jones cycled up the Col du Tourmalet (highest Pyrenean pass).

impressive. I wonder which side she rode up from. Both are a fucker but the side coming from the Col d'Aspin is a complete fucker. And I've only been up there in the car.
