From what i know, its all about pacing. Do what seems like too little when beginning and avoid the urge to 'push it to the max' and so on.
After a few weeks of a relatively easy running plan there was zero white spots and mortality questioning and real progress.
I'm the first person to ever say this but...Less is More?
