No Galway gig happening anyway. Ahem...

Just out of curiousity... are these guys very popular?
.

Popular? they're well popular on the squat/ anarcho-punk scene in britain and europe, (very big in france's punk scene especially in Brittany where the punk scene is huge). but i reckon their music goes beyond the punk ghetto- i've seen 'em loads in england and europe, at parties, festies and other gigs, they never fail to have the whole place hopping. Class anarcho-punk-ska with Conflict's drummer, what more could ya want? fuckin' brilliant band.

Anyways, the definive gig listing is:
9th of May: Eamonn Dorans, Dublin
10th of May: Planxty McGuires, Mohill (Co. Leitrim)
11th of May: The Pavillion, Belfast (even tho there is some weird argy bargy going on about it)

On tour with them there will be also Axis Of that will be playing all 3 nights, so you southeners can catch that too.
Belfast the other bands that will play are Lobotomies and Pocket Billiards.

Go in big numbers at all 3 gigs, it should be mint banter.

That explains why they were looking for quiet a high guarantee for a show in Galway.

Get the billiards onto the Dublin bill pleeasseee. Don't see enough of em down this way :(

Ask whoever is putting it on to get them on the bill. 'Cos i can bet my balls that the combo Pocket Billiards + Inner Terrestrials is gonna be deadly.

Inner Terrestrials are a London based Ska/Punk/Dub/Political band who've been around for almost 10 years. Their music is in the same vein as PAIN, RDF and AOS3 etc but they very much have their own style. The three piece features J (vocals & guitars), Fran (bass & vocals) and Conflict drummer Paco.

Their debut album IT! was originally self released in 1996 and continues to be a best seller with underground distributors throughout Europe. The intro is a dub drenched affair, which erupts straight into punky Anarchy. Highlights from the rest of the CD take you through Dub, Ska and hardcore Punk with mandolin folk vibes thrown in for good measure- sometimes all in the space of one song. Each song is a political anthem and very few bands these days sing the words and actually live by them. The terrestrials are that band.

A live album "Escape From New Cross" was issued in 1997(vinyl only), "Enter The Dragon" EP in 1999, and the "Barry Horne" single in 2002. Following the recent Clash cover single "Guns Of Brixton", the I.T. released their studio album: "X" in February 2004, followed later that year by the live dvd "Auxerre". the new album "Tales of Terror" is due to be finished by spring and released asap. Festivals and tours are on the cards all over Britain and Europe this summer
