I know I'm probably slitting my own throat here, but... (2 Viewers)

Not knowing what I'm signing for? Definately not for me.

I wasn't passing comment on doing the programme as such.

We had no obligation to DO anything... we signed up for an opportunity and chose to take it... I think we may just be communicating poorly thanks to the wonders of the internet.

Basically, the IDM said, enter this contest and you cold get massive exposure.

We did.

They told us exactly what would happen before we agreed to any ACTUAL thing though...

In that case,blame the journo.

I think you're missing the point, the t&cs of the contest didn't give them permission to do anything... we just didn't know what the prize was...

but we did know there was a "prize"... it's not like we signed something that said, "you have permission to do whatever you want".

this thread has stalled since 23.09!,you need to work on your shameless self promo lads!
ask yourself "what would The Whatmans do???"

I don't have a tv and the player thing keeps breaking in work but it appears my brother's band were also in this?
The Lynchburg mob?

I don't know how to congratulate him because i don't know what happened : \

Could be just backing music for all I know

That guy from the North ... Eoin? Is he for real, is his business as the MD of an ailing clown college.

I assume that if there's any smart and capable people in the groups they were the ones who got no air time.

That guy was actually like the class clown of the bunch. He did seem pretty out of touch with the rest of them though. The reality is that the losing team was sooooooo awful in person, which is why we choose the team we died. They were impersonal, disorganised, and seemed like they'd produce something awful which would fail. Their original pitch to us was, the whole, 'quiet to loud' idea. 'We think you'd be the perfect climax to our CD' i.e. We'd like you to be the last track.

When we pointed out the stupidity of that pitch, they immediatly said, 'never mind, we'll make you track one!'

They were a mess and doomed to fail.

I hope you weren't under the impression that you exposure would be coming via the show and knew it would only be through the cd ???

The show didn't mention any one band by name, play more then 30 seconds of any song or talk about any band or song in specific.

arnotts arnotts arnotts

so THAT'S what the PP logo means

The whole show was one big ad for the Daily Mail and their forth coming edition with a free cd.

And included it's obligatory shots of Renaults & Europa House, use of Snap printing and listening to of Newstalk.

I wonder will they have any new sponsors this year? I'm awaiting the Cadburys / Jelly Bean factory / Applebys / Woodies DIY challenge.

Actually it mentioned two bands by name and we were one of them....

And it offered us a great opportunity to promote the band...

No regrets...

Well thanks for the no help you utter cunts but turns out my bro was replaced by a stand-in cos he was away.
