I got me tickets for The Dark Knight! (1 Viewer)

I really like Maggie G, though I understand the 2-face conundrum. Good call.

I fell in love with her during that 'Stranger Than Fiction' movie...went off her again when I heard her wittering about the complexity of her character in this Dark Knight thing.

It's a crazy situation.

On reflection, it was great until about two thirds of the way in.... and then I honestly feel it lost its way.

I don't think any of the setups in the 3rd act hit home. The ferry scene was pretty poor. Batman using that sonar shit (?!?) was just silly. The showdown with Gordon/Harvey/Bats was a big letdown. And the way Harvey checked out????

Harvey and Bats talking to each other sounded like a support group for nicotine addicts.

Compare any of those scenes with the pod chase, the Joker meeting the mob for the first time, the "Sky Hook" kidnap, Joker visiting Harvey in the hospital, all the cool twists and turns in the plot.... Basically I thought the last 3rd was flat! And that speech by Gordon at the end? Jesus.

yeah, especially when the Joker was right in front of him

The showdown with Gordon/Harvey/Bats was a big letdown.

yeah, his reasons for hating Gordon were fairly forced I think

but still though, it was great.

So the official thumped.com view is that it was pretty good, but flawed. Lock this thread before Avernus comes in and battarangs our asses into oblivion.

I'm pretty sure I saw him touching himself at one point during the movie.

Haven't read this thread in two weeks so as not to ruin anything but I'm off to see it on the HUGE screen 1 in the Savoy at 15.30 .|..|

Giddy Up .|..|.|..|
