Hotel Recommendation - Manhattan (1 Viewer)

Planning on going at the start of March. Has anyone got any good hotel recommendations?

Nothing too pricey - hoping to stay 4/5 nights.

the metropolitan is amazing, me and my girlfriend stayed there for a few nights and it was reasonable enough given it was august.

looks nice dude yeah but $279 a night! i'mgoing for five nights so prob won't be able to choose the metropolitan...

edit... my girlfriend got a discount through her job at the time but i know someone else who went and got a reasonable price for a few nights.
thats expensive though!

There was an earlier thread on new York somewhere that had a lot of recommendations.

I think the hotels on aerlingus.com are good. I've used them in four different cities and they were all good and affordable.

I stayed at the Milford Plaza a few years ago. Pretty nice. got it as part of a flights and hotel deal, so not sure what it'd cost on its own.

I stayed at "upstairs at union square".
It's above an Irish pub but was quiet and really handy. Pretty cheap for New York - a bit more like a fancy hostel than a hotel! Smallish, clean rooms with own bathrooms. No food or anything.
If you google it you should find it.

Ended up booking Park Central Hotel New York, opposite Carnegie Hall. I've heard a few decent reports about it and got a half decent deal for 5 nights so here goes. Will let ya'll know how it was should you be thinking of it in the future.
