So,I sold the new Sennheisers.Unbelievably great sounding cans but every time a car drove past me I was sucked outta the music.
Not enough isolation for a man about town like myself who dosent want reality getting involved with the sonics.
So on-ear cans and me are a no go.Gotta be full enclosure closed back
Just went for a stroll there with the old trusty Monoprice 8323s and they do a great job..if a little sweaty.Unbelievable deal for 30 notes.

So,I've narrowed down my choices to Sennheiser HD280s or Sony MDR-7506(which I would need someone who's absolutely fucking dead sound in the states to get for me and send over..)

Believe it or not I was gonna put this in the minor complaints thread but fuck that shit..headphones is my current topic of interest.

Anyway..headphones..lets go

After much handwringing and very enjoyable research I have opted for Audio Technica ATH M50x ..hopefully these will be the keepers.
If not they'll be going on adverts pronto :)

I decided against totally flat phones cos I'm after something thats a birra craic to listen to..without being ridiculous though

My new cans are sitting in my parcel motel in Portlaoise and I'm sitting here in Artane.

HEAD WRECKER!

Holy fuck these Monoprice sound fucking amazing all the same.
I urge anyone in need of some quality cans to pick up a pair

New headphones arrived..and the search is over!
Wearing them right now..best cans I ever had.And SUPER comfy.

Listening to Miles Davis on them..its like he's playing inside my brain
Shit damn..even Docktur Dray prefers them

Audio Technica ATH M50's

I have the new M50x ..best cans I ever owned bar none..and I've had my share!

I prefer closed back over ear headphones.I like to feel like the music is playing inside my skull.
I have a lovely pair of Sennheisers if I want the open back experience, but I rarely do
