I was thinking of going in completely the other direction coolwise.

I did see something about a flying V bass the other day but two flying V's in a band can't be cool.

I never harboured any desire to own one then was given this model by a friend who was moving away. It's savage: feels good and sounds great. You can switch from passive to active electronics no flange but the active electronics can push it into distortion depending on how high your amp gain is set. I'll let you play it at the Landesdowne hotel gig on Dec 1st. It has a slight fret buzz on the 3rd and 5th frets though. I may have to go fretless for maximum evil.
