michiganfest is extra deadly. found so many great bands on that: coalesce, radio 4, hot snakes, dismemberment plan, milemarker, casket lottery, small brown bike and so many others, none of which i had ever heard before.
+oxes,owls,isis,sweep and much other brilliance.

i'd like a copy of this. are all these bands on the one dvd or something? or have you just been there and seen all these bands?

p.s if one is afraid of scaring potential acts away from cork they could do well to treat smaller acts better. this includes international acts who have been heard to give scathing attacks against cork promoters in the wake of their shows, including one well known underground musical act from the united states who sport members of fugazi and ted leo pharmacists(who coincidentally, are on the michiganfest) respectively. surely this is not only scaring acts away from cork but ireland as a whole?

what act was that? other than French Toast i can't thnk of any other fugazi related act in cork in recent times (maybe i'm wrong)

A lot of the bands on it are shit, but the Sweep bit where yer man goes through the roof as Bernard explained is great.

Of course it's all choreographed, you did know that didn't you Bernard?

This email was sent to me a while back from French Toast's tour reprasentative. Cant see any scathy attacks coming from this act who sport Fugazi/Ted Leo Pharmasist members only that Kilkenny venue was a bit weird atmosphere wise.
