IMO the song was quite catchy. i didn't think 'ooohh so derivative' the way i usually do with most irish bands [who often seem to just imitate the innovators]... BUT the wacky chappy on guitar and the karen o lookalikey with the purdy hair do .... well IMO they should change the name of the band, do something about their image and stop with the art studentisms of cape wearing etc. it all just acts as distraction. that's IMO

dick sandwich should follow this advice

That S.O.D. guitarist will do some damage to his knees should he keep stomping like he does towards the end of this uplifting little ditty.

The singer's voice is really high pitched and screetchy. Like Skreetch's.

Skreetch made a porno.

It's disturbing!

The bassist is really weedy and nerdy looking.
I once thought these guys were cool?

I do like the video where the singer jumps into the crowd and beats some guy in the head with the mic which is still plugged in.

I only heard Ham Sandwich once on the radio, they sounded catchy enough.
They're headlining the Kells St. Patricks festival.

Has this type of argument not been done to death on Thumped already?

Person: "I dont like band"
Others: "Nor do we"
Person: "You cannot say that about band"
Lots: "Yes we fuckin can + insults"
Person: "Well you are entitled to your opinion but...."
Everyone in the world: "Yes but they are still shite and you are bent"

S.O.D. = Slightly Old Drips

honestly?

which part?

it's catchy throw away Irish pop as far as i can see. i didn't say it was good necessarily, OR that i like it. but it has a hook and it'll get airplay on certain radio stations. it's not entirely offensive is it? in the scheme of things did their appearance on the late late merit a thread as lengthy and as embittered as this? it's cerial box snap crackle and POP. nothing more, nothing less.
