There are loads of deadly Waits bootlegs. One from Sweden on the Mule Variations tour is classic. "How many tears does it take to fill a shot glass?"

Big Time is a great album / video too.

ha deadly!

Entreat could have been a bit longer.
A full show from The Prayer Tour would be cool.

Show is nice - but I prefer Paris.

What do you think of Concert?

I was going to put up a pic for Paris, but I thought it would be overkill

I liked concert but I loved curiosity

Damn shame it never got a cd release

I'm also not a big fan of live albums, but this thread -- like all threads -- needs more Bruce. Hammersmith Odeon was apparently one of their 'worst' shows, and it still kicks the shit out of all music, ever. Our wedding song is from it. We coulda used the studio version, but we want the cheering crowds.

In addition to the greats already posted...

And Ravi Shankar live at Woodstawk..

what about live albums that arent just a good concert recording but are actually a brand new album of new songs? nobody mention any jazz albums. i know neil young had a few - time fades away etc but i cant think of many other examples. i think van der graaf generators recent one might have been better had they used live versions instead of slightly flat sounding studio ones
