I cleared the web history as per the articles (ta for the links).

Yesterday, I googled a place in Russia.

Then today, I clicked on Google weather and it gives me the weather of the place in Russia (I have location sharing switched off on my device). I checked Google history and it's still paused.

This suggests to me that they're still recording searches. Only this is possibly worse as the user cannot access these searches.

Yes, in fairness that's probably it alright. I didn't think about cookies. I must test it at some stage.
