great thread this.
never been a godfather and depends how big your family is really.
I give my nephews and nieces 70 Euro for confirmation/communion (never changed over the years).
but I had to reduce the amount they got on birthdays and xmas to 20 or 30.
I never anticipated there would be 9 of them (plus a grand niece) when I used to give 50's to the older lads.
