Howdy folks.
Here is the Go Away Recordings news.
Ahem.
First, thanks to all those who came out to the Hrvatski and Shitmat shows, we had a ball. Major thanks also to the Alphabet Set and Suite Mentale boys and girls for being so cool as usual and to all the artists involved.
The next Herv show will be Sunday, October 2nd, at the 'Future Shorts' monthly film exhibition in The Belvedere Hotel, Dublin. See www.futureshorts.com/ireland for more details. As as part of D.E.A.F., ( www.deafireland.com ) Herv plays with the amazing Ben Jacobs aka Max Tundra and American chipcore supremo Nullsleep in the Irish Film Institute on Saturday, October 29th. After that there'll be a show on November 4th in The Lower Deck, Portobello, Dublin with Lynched and the mighty Estel.
Secondly, both releases are now available to purchase online from the following 3 locations:
Road Records, Ireland (www.roadrecs.com)
Norman Records, UK (www.normanrecords.com)
Retinascan, Germany (www.retinascan.de )
We'll hopefully be adding a few more stockists in the next few months. Retinascan will also begin to stock all available Risc Records releases (www.riscrecords.com) in the coming weeks as well. Also, if you're looking for a release and are too lazy go down the shops or if the shops in question are out of stock, please mail us and we'll sort you out.
Thirdly, our website, located at www.goawayrecordings.com is now up and running properly. There are some new reviews of 'Introduction to Synthesisers' available on the site and some Mp3s for your listening pleasure. More on the way. The next release will be an ambient opus by The Last Sound (www.thelastsound.com), and its bloody spectacular.
Finally, we're putting together a compilation! Pretty typical for a small electronic label we know, but hey. We did two artist albums first, so shut up. And its going to be a breakcore compilation! The crazier the better, but we need submissions, so email us at '[email protected]' for the address if you want to send us stuff.
Right, thats about it for now.
All the best,
The Go Away Team
