In 2002, arrived into New York in June on the J1 and headed to Long Island the next day. Found out a month later that Cadillac Blindside had played their last gig that night two blocks from my hostel.

Oh and i went to see kerbdog in (i think) whelans in (i think) 1996 but they wouldn't let me in (i was 14). I could hear from outside but it weren't the same.
