Tell you one thing though. The most important lesson you learn from taking and looking at gig photos is that it's all about a decent fast lens.

RSJ jeez dude, I had to use NR lol! but still that's amazing!
Nailer I used the 24-105L f4 which is not considered particularly fast but it's a solid performer.
Most people wouldn't use that at gigs but it's never let me down.
I find it AF's better than my 50mm 1.4
Although when I get a correct focus with the 50 1.4 it is a damn sexy pic.

I used the NR feature in Canon's own DPP which while short on options compared to LR/PS appears to handle the 5D IIs Raw files better.
