Is that the thing that was on on Halloween '93. Scared the shit out of myself and my dad when we saw it, we thought it was just some topical live documentary then shit started going crazy.

Did they actually show the whole thing on e4? Ghostwatch was the best thing ever. Watched it with some friends when it was on originally and didn't realise it was staged until the credits rolled. Brilliant. I seem to recall they got a lot of grief over it afterwards.

nah they didn't show it, it featured number one in a top twenty of most phone in complaints received for a tv show.
The brass eye peado special was number two.
