I have to take exception to that as a) I am a girl and I possess more than one Plaid recording, and b) their recent London show was full of very attractive young men, none of whom were wearing duffle coats. And my boyfirend likes 'that kind of music' too and he's a big ride.

when i was a slim handsome young man it looked great on me. it did.

now Stuart "i'm-taking-your-clothes-because-they-look-better-on-me" Little
owns it and squeezes his podgy frame into it. it does look ridiculous on the larger man. i admit that.

Ye've lost the plot again!
When i read the first bit of the thread i was delighted to see music making a come back as a topic of conversation, and then WHAM!
I think the duffle coats comment started it all off,not blaming anyone in particular now.

So,back to the muzak, have any of you crazy cats listened to the new req album on warp?I think it's good in a minimal hip-hop kinda way.

What about the new DAT politics? Those crazy frenchies eh?

leaf records is the place to go.

indeedy. susumu yokota is another spiffy leaf person to check out - quiet japanese electronic stuff. he did a very weird version of "there is a light that will never go out" when he played in the shelter recently.

[likes "that sort of music"]

[is girl]

[does not have duffle coat]

[hmmm]

check out the cLOUDEAD album .... and has anyone listened to Fog? Should I bother...

[wears a dodgy football-coach jacket]

[is a singles man]

[spends all day on internet]

[mmmmmm]

I have a goilfriend...

The Streets are fucking great.

Hopper, you'd probably get a kick ot of the likes of Luke Vibert (Mo Wax, PLanet Mu), Si Begg (Noodles, Novamute), Amon Tobin (Ninja Tunes), the aforementioned Bernd Friedmann (we was supposed to bring Flanger over last year, bt they had to pull it...), Kid 606's little bro' Cex is fucking great.

And Max Tundra never fails...too funny...

i'm surrounded by fucking wusses

today i have mostly been listening to Trial By Fire

later I shall move on to some Consolidated, followed by some My Name Is Satan, most likely
