anyone been? Any tips on how to get there etc? Hotels, anything? going in January for soccer so all ideas welcome.

I had a teacher from there in transition year. My mate down the pub last night said he thinks it might be nice there (he was in the next door country, I forget which one).

cheers fiona, turns out on eof the lads in work is from ghana so he's filling me in and offering to get family members to show us around etc, should have thought of askign was anyone from there first.

Did you go? Ghana is one of those places I have always been interested by while knowing relatively little about.

I've been to ghana. Its fairly safe by africa standards, safe enough for me and another lad from dundalk to wander around at night drunk off our faces. the frogs are loud though,

i went too, very nice. lots of random people used to say "white man, welcome" to me as i passed on the street. i'd never say "black man, welcome" to anyone here. watch out for the big drains at the side of the road when walking around drunk (or sober) at night.
