hey anthony - who played the cliff burton thing? when was it etc? (i've only heard a little about it)

someone needs to put on a lizzy night. in slatterys. new fancy slatterys.

i used to have a tape of the whole cliff burton night

but i gave it to bassetti back when there was talk of a jackbeast comp. CD coming out with everything they'd ever recorded on...

(if you're reading this bassetti, and you still want to do it - i'll pay for it)

all i remember playing were bambi, jackbeast, that metallica tribute band.....

I think the Lizzy mirror is still in Slattery's. I heard a bloke on the radio going on about it once.

Charlies was pretty cool, we put on the Cliff Burton night there and packed the place and the owner only charged us £25! Can you believe it! He evenn bought t-shirts off us on the night so that all the staff could wear them. I presume he's not the owner anymore.

Decal were so amazing that night, they did Seek and Destroy with David Lacey on vocals and Tommy Trousers on bass
The hardcore rockers weren`t into it though, not even Alan O`Boyle`s Iron Maiden the first ten years t-shirt could save them from the wrath of the narrow minded people in the crowd
Anthony Mackey has recordings of it I think?
Bambi were great too and the Cliff Burton t-shirts were the best thing I`ve ever seen

Tetsuo were supposed to play in the garden of delight with the Null
Set but our bass player went missing for a while
