there was a similar thing a few days ago with a text from mike huckabee to trump.

if you’re one of the people sending one of these kinds of messages to trump, you’re essentially simultaneously writing to the whole world and to one senile boomer simultaneously. you go into it knowing you’re abandoning your dignity. you adopt a kind of cartoon persona. presumably you do it because there is some kind of benefit from it, eventually.
