Some lad in the post office queue confirmed scutter's news. It's going to be -10 next week.

Good news. Is the wind finished?

yes, thats the end of it. The wind was kind of a knock on affect of the extreme weather they got in the US. The areas where the highs and lows met spewed a tonne of energy across the atlantic and that manifested itself in the carnage we've had here for the past 3 weeks.

Yeah, I'm with Scutter on this one. Snow is lovely if you can stay inside and look out at it, or go out and play around in it for a while before running home again to thaw out. But it is a nightmare to have to go to work in, and when it turns to slush, or you get fresh snow over ice etc it's dangerous and ugly.

looks like theres a bit of backtracking going on here. Shouldn't be much snow on low-lying ground.

Plus theres a chance that cold vortex thing might reload in america, which could and probably will mean more storms here.
