I must check out some of the newer stuff. My definition of folk horror is a bit narrow. It has to be British & made in the 60's or 70's. It's quiet limiting.

Check out Arcadia for a start. A happy medium to begin with

Some good/interesting stuff appearing on youtube

Re casting the runes. (Really enjoyed it be the way, nice one for posting). Has there been other adaptations of that or has another movie /anthology series borrowed strongly from it? The whole plot seems very familiar

The Loney is great
Picked it up yesterday. Few chapters in. Liking the atmosphere and setting so far. Watched this earlier, have the Beasts DVD set for a couple of years but found them hit or miss so hadn't watched one or two episodes . This is a bonus feature on the set. Thought it was very good. Rural northern folk suspect occult shenanigans on their doorstep

Synopsis: The heart of Antrum is the titular cursed feature, which purports to have been shot in the late 1970s by unknown filmmakers. It spins the tale of two siblings who perform an occult ritual in the woods, seeking closure after the death of a beloved pet… but their seemingly symbolic act may have truly unleashed Hell on Earth.

listening to the Midsommar score for first time, on spotify with headphones. It is immense. Totally bananas out of context posting on thumped. Can't wait to see the 3 hour version hopefully sooner rather than later
