It does, it's just that it doesn't have a killer game yet. The wireless controller is brilliant. You can switch the console on and off from the controller. You'll never have to leave the sofa again.

wrong thread, losers. !baggyyyy get the fuck out.

i was looking through the yearly irish astronomy guide thing for 2006 the other day and theres a facinating article on venus and mercury. apparently when the sun us setting on mercury it goes down in the normal way but then it comes back up above the horizon again before setting properly. likewise at dawn the sun rises, drops back down again and then comes back up for the day proper! and the days on mercury are twice as long as the years!

Anyone ever been to the planetarium in Armagh?

I went last year. Great fun. The show was very short though.

There said they had just ordered some next generation projector which should be installed this year. They were so excited.

The one at madame tussauds in london is a joke. No comparison.

I read a science fiction story when I was about 8 about the discovery of a new planet that turned out to be an egg for this huge sun eating monster..:eek::eek:
:eek::eek: is right!

i see nobody has yet voted for venus... of all the planets venus is the one i'd most like to visit, though i'd need a good mask and a tough pair of hiking boots! neptune is my favorite to look at from space but venus is a fascinating place (and its the closest of the others to us).

check out these cool photos taken on the surface of venus in 1982...

after that i'd like to check out some of the moons around jupiter and saturn. i suspect the people who voted for uranus were only messing. its my least favorite of the planets i think.

I found this stellarium thing - its pretty cool. you set your location (city or latitude and longitude) and it gives you a view of the sky from your location and marks out all the stars, constellations, planets etc and you can search for things you want to locate and it shows you exactly where it is in the sky from your point of view.
