Given marking and cutting frets is my least favourite part of a build I’m not sure how I got talked into an extra 7 ones

Some nice quilting on the chunk of cherry? Counter top I’m making the body out of. I plan to have the dark grain running up the middle. It’s a bit burly which means it’s tearing out but..

On this tele I have to fix up, the first and second frets need replacing.
How realistic would it be to take out the two uppermost frets and replace the two fucked ones with those?

Hmm.. could work if you got them seated well - but you’d probably need to spot level them.

Not the easiest thing to get them out without damaging them.

It would be - but I’d be inclined to either try levelling the first two frets, or just refret

Not sure what I’m going to do re position markers.
I want to make the mortise on the body first, so I’ll have a think about it

Position markers in and neck joint made.
I went with putting the markers where they would be on a ‘normal’ guitar to aid playing regular stuff on this.

Yeah, same wood as I have you a chunk of. Pretty hard stuff, and a bit prone to tear. Neck is same material
