Romeo Must Die are a mad and pissed off three-piece believing in the ethics of DIY, dumpsterdiving and being the sole animators of their local scene. The group delivers 6 songs (nearly 20 minutes) that are not far from the artimus pyle, his hero is gone or catharsis kinda of style, technically very well played, passionate and downtuned crust with low screaming vocals and lots of tempo variations. Heavy production and poetic lyrics make it one helluva powerful record.





TUNGUSKA/THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL lp (sadness of noise)€10.00 The Bold and the Beautiful started in autumn 2004 with a few members of punk bands from Lublin area (AntiChrist, Silence, G.C.M., Poem After Auschwitz, Unanimous Society's Paradox, AntiCop), cause guys were just pissed off on polish specific lifestyle, political madness, religious frauds and attitudes of scene gestapo/scene merchandise of some dumbs. They had an idea to connect fast and angry punkrock with old style sarcasm in the vein of early '80 hardcore and with political but not always deadly serious lyrics. In total - two guitars, two screamers, one bass and one drums. They call it Gitwa Punk and if you like Siekiera (a polish old punk "legend") you know what they mean - fast and furious crusty powerviolence, aggressive and in your face. On the other side of the split you find Tunguska - Irish/Polish hybride with heavy and dark monumental neocrust mayhem. Totally devastating and powerful wall of sound in the vein of Silence, FAR, The Dagda etc.

Re-mastered sound combined with a brand new artwork designed for a gatefold sleeve specially by cult Japanese phographer Kyotaka Tsurisaki!!! And to top it off, the record comes with a fold-out poster! This is one of Corrupted's first recordings, being one of the world's seminal Sludge bands / recordings. Grinding Halt Sprookjeshof lp €10.00
These ex-Shikari / Last Mile dudes absolutely lay waste to everything before them on their second release, sounding far more vicious and heavy than on their split with Vuur. What Grinding Halt do very well is take a cross-section through all the genres that matter (i.e. hardcore, metal, doom, punk), sift off the crap and then focus their attack straight at your brain. The riffs are largely discordant, the rhythm section is satisfyingly brutal, the shrieks are totally nerve-shredding and the song structures are interestingly varied without being pointlessly tricksy. They make a hell of a lot of noise, but don't forget to make it musical too.

Nearly a year after the first recordings this is finaly out. These are the first recordings from Vuur with their new singer. Less metalguitars this time but a more punksound. This will blow you to bits like Acme did. Grinding Halt has some Shikari and Last Mile members in them. Overall they're pretty heavy. In the slower parts like Dystopia, in the faster parts more HHIG. Excellent first recordings. Great record (of course). this was done in cooperation with heart On Fire records and Shove records

THE PASO INFERIOR LP is about 30 minutes the CD was 41 minutes.Corrupted re-recorded and remixed this new record in 2002. Side one is like the theme from the cd just it's like about 15 minutes short...and in my opinion it sound much better than the orginal from 1997. The B side....which still reads as 1 track of the LP but feels more like a second track is about 16 minutes and is more heavy spheric... without vocals ...and there is anything like that on the CD fom 1997. Japanese underground icons Corrupted create droning, sludgy, painfully slow death/doom metal and ambient music along the same lines -- or should that be trenches? -- as bands like Earth, Boris, and Sunn O))). Formed in Osaka, Japan, circa 1994, the reclusive group is comprised of vocalist Hevi, guitarist Talbot, keyboardist Takehito, bassist Jose, and drummer Chew, and has issued an inordinate number of singles, EPs, split discs, and full-length albums over the years (including 1997's Paso Inferior, 1999's Llenando de Gusanos, and 2004's Se Hace por los Suenos Asesinos) -- but always under their own idiosyncratic terms. These include holding anything remotely resembling rock stardom in utter contempt, mysteriously writing all of their lyrics in Spanish, and refusing to even take promo shots, so that the only known images of the group are those snapped by fans at their concerts.
