Let us fill your musical stockings!

The Workman’s Club
loves you. T’is the season for giving - so we’re gonna do just that! We’re putting on a STORMER of a Chrimbo party for you, and it’s all FREE! Batten
down the hatches and let us tell you what we’ve got in store.

First up, how’s about a bit of harmony-heavy indie pop?
little xs for eyes are
half boy / half girl, tangled guitars and twinned synths. The band released their début album, S.A.D. in 2011, to critical acclaim. With their forthcoming
sophomore album they embark across a soundscape of songwriter Bennie Reilly's quintessential themes: a love of nature and the nature of love. Journeying through forest, jungle and ocean, singing songs of lost summers, loose kisses and longed-for landscapes;
venturing everywhere but searching for somewhere else. State Magazine
pronounced little xs for eyes their
‘favourite Irish pop band’ The
Irish Independent said they were ‘deliciously
sweet’ Nialler9 called
them ‘badass’
and
The Irish Times told
ya they were ‘one of the tightest bands around, with pitch perfect multi-part harmonies, dazzling melodies & a clutch of genuinely
catchy songs.’

Then we’ve got one of the most exciting artists AROUND! Before he even released a record, Galway native Daithi
was supporting
Santigold, The XX, Macklemore
and
DJ Shadow on Irish dates
across the country. Daithi is known as an Irish fiddle player who uses electronics to transform Irish music with his own unique and different take. In 2012, Daithi signed to Sony Music Ireland and began to explore a new sound, taking his traditional roots
and mixing them with his love for uplifting house music. Daithi's producing career was mentored by Ian Ring
(Young Wonder, Talos)
and he made his name as the ‘go-to’ man to remake songs for the dance floor (Fight Like Apes, Tvvins, Original Rudeboys
are notable clients). In 2013, he began to work in a studio in Cork on his debut album. Synthesising his influences from UK garage, house and traditional
Irish music he presented a 10 track album In Flight.
In 2013 Daithi entered the Irish Charts with his debut single 'Chameleon Life'. featuring the incredible
Raye on singing duties.
One of the most played songs on Irish radio that year, the song was nominated as
Track of the Year at
the Meteor Awards and
had Daithí performing countless live shows around the country, including a huge end of summer performance at
Electric Picnic Festival.
Daithi has gone on to release a slew more radio singles, including Case Closed
(iTunes single of the week in Ireland, UK, Russia & Turkey),
Have To Go
featuring iconic New York singer Jesse Boykins, and the Irish radio summer hit
In Flight featuring
The Corona's Danny O Reilly.
So, if you love yourself as much as
we love you, you’ll get in to our place and get your Xmas ON! With these 2 stellar performances all for FREE, we ask you...WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE?
