all joking aside, it always cracks me up to here punks dissing death metal yet going on about loving bands like Tragedy, From Ashes Rise, Skitsystem etc, as most of those bands pretty much stol their sound from the old raw Swedish bands like Nihilist and Carnage and that kinda thing...most of whom were in turn influenced by stuff like Mob 47.

Most death metal i've heard has been tediously boring and there jsut isn't enough rawk in it. It's all this technical sounding stuff, the playing might be good but the music is just pure minge.



So...recomend me some stuff that isnt horribly boring repetitive wanky technical death metal. And i'll have a second opinion. I like Death, Brutal Truth and (early) Napalm Death if that's anything to go by.

Aw yeah but some of this biggest wankers ,snobs and elitists towards music that I've known/come across have ALWAYS been (death) metallers.
Not trying to generalise but it always happens to me.

not a wanky technical band among them.that stuff bores me to tears as well.I'm referring to the sloppy, cruder,filthier stuff that's actually heavy and clearly has more than a little Venom and Motorhead in it, not that shit that passes for DM nowadays.

I've tried as best to erase them from my mind cos there has been some truly terrible stuff. Necrophagist or necro something was one of them. I thought Nile were fairly shit too. And theres another truly terrible one that I can't remember which is in itself a very good thing.
