The flagship event at this year’s DEAF is a Warp Records party curated by u:mack productions, where the cream of the label's newest artists are joined by one of the finest acts of the label’s 20-year history.

PLAID (Live Classics Set)
This will be a very special live performance from Plaid: classics tracks specially selected by the band from their entire back catalogue (11 albums and 6 EPs released over 20 years). After trawling through old keyboards, hard drives and floppy discs, Plaid promise to include tracks that haven't been heard live in more than ten years.

CLARK (Live)
Chris Clark’s new album ‘Totems Flare’(his fifth to date) combines the classic Warp sound with a groove worthy of Paris's Ed Banger Records, or New York's DFA.

Tim Exile (Live)
Tim Exile cut his teeth in the drum ‘n’ bass world on the legendary Moving Shadow label before moving to Planet Mu, but his latest album ‘Listening Tree’ has upped his game to a whole new level. Renowned for his improvised live sets, Tim's skills have to be seen to be believed.

Bibio (Laptop / DJ)
One of Warp's freshest signings, Bibio's music pays tribute both to England's folk tradition and San Francisco's late sixties psychedelia, via electronically modified guitar melodies and droning synthesizer sounds. A new EP ‘Maybe They Appear in Graveyards’ follows his Warp debut, ‘Ambivalence Avenue’.

DJ N>E>D
Resident DJ at the legendary overkill nights, DJ N>E>D wildly eclectic sets make him the perfect DJ for u:mack’s Warp @ DEAF party.

Filmbase, Curved Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2

Specialists in experimental, uncanny and meditative music, the Quiet Music Ensemble will present a six-hour sonic event focussing on pieces created for the hugely successful 2008 Quiet Music Festival.
Experience work by leading experimental composers Alvin Lucier, Mark Applebaum, David Toop and others, plus scintillating sonic environments, installations and video.

Special guest David Toop will present on his research, perform improvisations and take part in his piece for the ensemble, ‘Night leaves breathing’. Videos shown will include ‘Dreams of the Jungfrau’ by the artistic director of the Deep Listening Institute, IONE.

Looks great. I can't wait to see Hypnotic Brass Ensemble but why are they playing? They're in no way electronic are they?
