Yeah but they pronounce it "eeee-moh" like a donkey asking a question. Me mam's family is from "the heath" ("de hayth") in Laois. Summer holidays. Oh holy god. Oh good long suffering jesus.

Did anyone mention my hometown - Tramore? Beautiful - one of the biggest natural tidal lagoons in europe, huge sand dunes, 3 mile beach... what'll we do with it? Stick a big fuck-off rubbish dump in the middle of it that's what. Oh and a few arcades. Grand.

i met a lovely girl from naas on holidays on holiday in tramore when i was 13.

our eyes met across the waltzers as that safety bar flew open mid ride...

ah tramore. All my childhood summers were spent in O'Gormans caravan park, swimming in the cove and guillamine, fishing, going up to rockets to buy coke, cove stores, that shit cinema, the back strand etc etc. I haven't been down since I was 15 and my mam and dad sold their mobile home, I am afeard it will have changed greatly.

I went to Tramore on my communion day. And a few times afterwards.

Courtown (1981, 1982, 1983) and Lahinch (1987, 1988) were two holiday destinations of choice for my family. Deadly times.

Went back to Lahinch to have my stag weekend and it hadn't changed much at all.
