So in general rural wifi is crap in Ireland, yeah?

I'm trying to remember if there was some town that got super fast internet as a model for the future. I think there was.
Does anyone remember this? Or which town it was?

Ennis was ireland's first "Information age town" in 1997.

then there was Cyber Plains in Leixlip, which was "cyber" because it was a. near intel and b. had a phone point in every room. Quickly renamed by the local council.
