Seem to be using a hell of a lot of cpu all the time, its regularly hanging around the 100% mark, even just running cubase and relatively little else.Just means theres a hell of a lot of cracks and glitches playing back audio, even with dsp, running more than one vst results in a huge jump in cpu, plenty of glitch and an eventual crash.
Recently upgraded to 2gb of RAM,so it should be able to handle more than that.
System Manufacturer INTEL_
System Model D865GLC_
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 3 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel ~2992 Mhz
OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
Total Physical Memory 2,048.00 MB
Available Physical Memory 1.20 GB
Total Virtual Memory 2.00 GB
Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB
Page File Space 2.56 GB

any ideas?
hope it hasnt got the gay.

avg, firefox, etc nothing seems to be using excessive amounts of memory.
Uninstalled Norton, which was expired but Csass.exe was still using up a fair bit of memory, still no joy tho

Hold down Ctrl-Alt-Del. The Task Manager should load up. When it does, click the CPU bar twice. Now the processes that use the most CPU cycles will be right at the top. You can close them down by clicking on them and clicking 'End Process'
Hope that helps!

I'm having this problem too.

When I open Azureus, the CPU meter jumps to 100% & stays there constantly.
It's uploading/downloading fuck all too.

I'm also having problems with Cubase although, that tends to jump between 50%-90%.

Recently I started getting a message on startup saying that my battery was still charging normally but was reaching the end of it's useful life (which is a bit of a pain as it's less than 2 years old!).

Could this be part of the problem?

I downloaded uTorrent.
Seems to be running fine.

Don't know what the problem with Azureus is. Maybe something wrong with whatever the last update was.

Have you that flash blocker thing for Firefox? Firefox used to eat a lot of my CPU before I put that on.
