Computer not recognising my external hard drive (1 Viewer)

took a knock on the floor due to an entangling of limbs and wires, some wierd unfamiliar sounds coming from it but it's turned on, seems to be working but when i plug the USB in, nothing happens. any help?

please don't say "it's fucked", it has most of my films and music on it

I'm sorry to say.. It is fucked.. That weird noise you hear is the drives grinding..
