I work at Home Depot and I have had every single goddam one of these interactions multiple times. You are a legend. The only problem is I have to stop myself from repeating these to customers. Just searched Zerra 1 on thumped search engine. Until I mentioned Zerra 1 here in 2022, there is no mention of them on thumped.
I never heard them until YouTube era.
They were one of those "the next U2" bands. Despite recording w/ Todd Rundgren and doing two(?) LPs Mercury, playing on The Late Late Show etc. they got forgotten very quickly it seems.
The YouTube hits for their videos are pitifully low.
