In two short years, Comeback Kid have gone from hardcore underdogs to a wildly successful scene institution, a spot most bands spend years trying to attain. ~ AMP

Comeback Kid formed with one simple purpose in mind: to get out and play some fast, furious hardcore. Two critically acclaimed albums later and after tirelessly touring in the UK, Europe, Canada, USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Iceland with bands such as Rise Against, Sick Of It All, Madball, Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, Gorilla Biscuits, Terror, and Bane, Comeback Kid have become one of the biggest names in hardcore today.

Now, two years since the release of Wake the Dead (Victory / Smallman), Comeback Kid unleashes Broadcasting…their most diverse album yet. Recorded again with pop-punk legend Bill Stevenson at The Blasting Room, the album encompasses both heavier and more melodic elements. Lead singer Andrew Neufeld explains, “We wanted to up the ante with this one. Mix it up a little bit more. I think that with music it’s great to explore new things and push the envelope a bit.”

The result is a superbly crafted, hard-hitting tour de force. Described by Neufeld, “This is definitely the darkest record we have ever written. We were going for more of an epic, full sounding album. It still has the classic CBK elements but everything is turned up a notch.” Listen to the album and you will see that this is a modest understatement.

The album also shows maturity in lyrical content. The title track "Broadcasting..." addresses the fear instilled in our society towards those deemed the enemy. “There are figures in the public eye that are portrayed as dangerous and we are told they are the enemy. I think a lot of the time the real enemy is in our own backyard, trying to scare us into believing whatever they tell us. There is danger all around us, but not always where we're told it is,” explains Neufeld.

I'm sure everyone's sick of me bumping this and I know some people have problems with this band but if you are coming, if you could post a bulletin or even text a friend about it, that would be super. Thanks.

Seriously, thanks to everyone so much for making the effort to be there tonight. I was so worried about the turnout but the hard work from myself, Joebreaker, Sean, Iano and Jack paid off big style. It really does mean so much to us that when we put on a show at our own risk that you guys appreciate it and go off. This was the biggest show I've ever run and I can't wait for the rest of the summers shows.

Wanna hear more of Ghundi. I was on the door for FAW and FD but they both sounded so good, on the real. CBK was fucking insane. They played so well and everyone went off. Even the ridiculous push moshing didn't wreck my buzz or my two step, haha.

So tired.

Comeback kid, First death and Find a way were immence, Liked the stuff on Real talk's myspace, but live were quite timid. good gig all-in-all..|..|

no mind him i thought Real Talk were great - headband n'all. had the demo bought before ye even played. plus i got an Irish zine at this...wow! a paper zine... Looking Back its called and looks decent to boot.
ghundi did the business as usual. colin was having fun jumping off the higher than normal stage i'd bet. findaway were far far better than the last time i saw them as were first death. comeback kid just rocked it. great gig....sorry show. :)

I thought it was a great turn out for a Monday night.

I saw some of Real Talk who were pretty good. Saw all of First Death who were way way better than last time I saw them, I thought there were fucking great.

And Comeback Kid were fantastic. Don't own any of their music, but that will change soon. Which of their albums is the best place to start?
