"Comeback Kid unleashes Broadcasting…their most diverse album yet. Recorded again with pop-punk legend Bill Stevenson at The Blasting Room, the album encompasses both heavier and more melodic elements."
No expert but as HC goes their Myspace songs are soft especially Broadcasting
Bill Stevenson recorded their current album.
so i guess we can start denouncing him and all his work now.
More importantly Andrew who writes all the stuff is a staunch atheist.
incorrect...for some reason there was an old copy of inside knowledge zine in the jacks this morning and it has an interview with andrew of comeback kid where he says the following,
"Well I don't think I can tell anyone how to change his or her life but I do know for myself that Christ is the most important thing in my life...For me, God has helped me a lot inhard times and I know he is always there for me. It really gives me hope and strength reading encouraging words I find in the bible, or talking (praying) to God. I give all the slory to God."
odd words for an atheist do you not think?
edit: p.s. fuck the shitty bible, guess he didn't read all the lovely bits about how if you rape a virgin all you gotta do is give her da fifty silver coins and she's yer bird for life....shitty bible

Comeback Kid (CAN)

In two short years, Comeback Kid have gone from hardcore underdogs to a wildly successful scene institution, a spot most bands spend years trying to attain. ~ AMP
Comeback Kid formed with one simple purpose in mind: to get out and play some fast, furious hardcore. Two critically acclaimed albums later and after tirelessly touring in the UK, Europe, Canada, USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Iceland with bands such as Rise Against, Sick Of It All, Madball, Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, Gorilla Biscuits, Terror, and Bane, Comeback Kid have become one of the biggest names in hardcore today.
Now, two years since the release of Wake the Dead (Victory / Smallman), Comeback Kid unleashes Broadcasting…their most diverse album yet. Recorded again with pop-punk legend Bill Stevenson at The Blasting Room, the album encompasses both heavier and more melodic elements. Lead singer Andrew Neufeld explains, “We wanted to up the ante with this one. Mix it up a little bit more. I think that with music it’s great to explore new things and push the envelope a bit.”
The result is a superbly crafted, hard-hitting tour de force. Described by Neufeld, “This is definitely the darkest record we have ever written. We were going for more of an epic, full sounding album. It still has the classic CBK elements but everything is turned up a notch.” Listen to the album and you will see that this is a modest understatement.
The album also shows maturity in lyrical content. The title track "Broadcasting..." addresses the fear instilled in our society towards those deemed the enemy. “There are figures in the public eye that are portrayed as dangerous and we are told they are the enemy. I think a lot of the time the real enemy is in our own backyard, trying to scare us into believing whatever they tell us. There is danger all around us, but not always where we're told it is,” explains Neufeld.
