only started studying him a few days before his UNTIMELY death. very fascinating, i have to apply his ideas to two films. anyone recommend any books about his ideas or should i just throw myself in the deep end and get structural anthropology/myth and meaning?

well any introductory text to 20th century anthropology will give you the main points on what you need to know.

His stuff is fairly readable but it's still academic, I guess 'myth and meaning' is a good start but like a lot of these things, unless you really want to get into it you don't need much more than the introduction.

I've far from read everything he's written though
