I'm doing duck this year. Chickened out last year (literally).

I have a pork loin marinating (since last night) in cardamom pods, juniper berries, a navel orange, dry red wine, olive oil, cloves, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, salt & black peppercorns. It will have a red wine, red current, brandy and prune ( I know that sounds weird but trust me, delish) sauce while/after roasting tonight. It already smells good.

Might bake some chocolate gingerbread snowflake cookies today too. My flat smells like Christmas. Yum. Also my downstairs neighbours are blasting what sounds like Russian Christmas music. It's a good morning.

I got a few complaints about the noise last friday so the only thing i'm blasting today is vince guaraldi on a low volume. Going to the butchers soon to see if I can get anything that will prevent boned and rolled boredom on friday.
