I haven't heard any explanation other than - "its cold, so they're coming into the house"

But Ive been living in Ireland for over 30 years and Ive never seen them before!

I wonder if the sickness causing meteorite in Peru has something to do with them?

I encountered a few of them last year. Saw one of them scuttle across the living room floor out of the corner of my eye and thought it was a mouse for a second. There are some pretty big spiders around alright.

One of the ones last year, the one I thought was a mouse, was too big to put the mouth of a pint glass over without damaging one of his legs. I ended up having to trap him in a pyrex bowl. Wish I'd got a picture, but I was too busy trying to get him out of the apartment and close all windows and doors to keep him out.

It's been an invasion of wasps I've had to deal with. I was in the jacks one day there doing my bizness when I noticed wasps buzzin'. They were having a great time, all 6 of them, in a very small bathroom.
