original, engaging, thought-provoking...

none of those things. you sound like dozens of other bands out there. having said that, you ain't the worst by a long shot.

you cant sing, you cant play, you look awful.

you'll go along way.

glorious sun: Opening riff could do with some variation rather than just direct transposition along the chord progression. the vox are too high in the mix and the tuning's a bit dodgy in plaaces ( i know, it's live..). Too much vox in general, no breathing space.

little miss: is the singer also playing the riffs? his vocal rhythm is going all weird in places. same probs as above, too predictable, too much vox.

monkey: this one's not so bad, sounds like poison by alice cooper (a little), the riff is ok and the verse structures build naturally. That sudden rhythm change to the chorus is a bit odd though, sounds like you're unsure whether it's swing or stomp. vocal line totally fails to work with the middle-8, just tries to sing the same line over it, yuck!

too much vox, sounds like an ego trip for the singer, especially the bluesy ones where it's just the same uninteresting lyrics repeated over and over, not so offensive in the 3rd track but still not well thought out.

maybe it's fun live but it doesn't work as a listening music.

Hey Bonzaibob,
you should be quite grateful to Igor for such a good review. Looks like he did exactly as you requested. Granted it wasn't so positive for your band but if you dispell (and i know you havent had right of reply yet) but if you do dispell what he has to say I would recommend quitting.

However if you do take it on board, congratulations, you just accepted some fine constructive criticism and your band/singer may just get better

Regards,
Niall

all criticism is positive criticism, unless it's not constructive criticism. I shall be sharing with the band.

Bare in mind though, this was our third gig, and for me(guitarist) and the singer it was our 3rd gig ever, we haven't played live before. So these things are expected and we will learn from them.

Thanks for the comments.
