I've recently been scouring ebay for a laptop and want to warn you people about the shady bastards on it.I have been bidding for the same model of laptop for a while now,but the fuckers all just push it out of my price range.

So,i get this e-mail today :

precious time but I have noticed that you want to buy a

have that kind of product that you are bidding for and
we want to sell it so that we can refurnish our
monastery.I am a priest at a monastery for
nuns in Europe,Transilvania and the product that we
have was donnated by an English Company.
We cannot bid for this product at a public auction
because we are afraid of possible frauds that might
happen on the bidding site EBAY and we cannot
afford such a loss.We have noticed that the price of
this product has increased to a larger sum of money
but we thought we could sell it for
$850.We think it is an acceptable price and we can
receive the money in two instalments within 2 weeks.

Sounds like they're taking the piss, nine.

I bought a theremin on e-bay and it all went smoothly. You can give positive or negative feedback to e-bay....customers I suppose, and you can check out their rating. If they have a bad rating, you just stay away from them.

e-bid.ie, now that's a different story. It's pretty bad in comparison, but I've found e-bay to be all right.
