Happy Mondays without Bez wasn't exactly catastrophic (definitely lacked something) but The Shamen's super lights and set stole the show. Edgy as fuck attendance.

Did Anhrefn play that as well? I seem to remember the line up in belfast being those three but only Anhrefn played.

if they did they were on first. The Shamen were on their first song when I got there.

So,everyone grabbed bits and pieces from the backline/pa and carried it down the street to Giro's practice room. This was the old Giro's and the practice room was pretty small,I reckon the gig was actually better for it but the inbetween chaos was just that.

I can't remember which one now but the Fugazi show in teh Ormond in the mid nineties where the bouncers pepper sprayed the crowd up the front at the end of the gig was pretty odd - when I got outside there were three or four black mariahs and hundreds of dudes with short hair and glasses looking vaguely confused...
