As I've said, mine tend to look at each other when they 'go', so I find magazines unnecessary.

Lord D, go to yer local pet shop. They've got this enzyme shit that neutralizes the smell where your cat has been shiting, as well as deterring them from using that spot again.
Also, garlic works for fleas.
