Did anyone else read Andrea Byrne's 4 page article in yesterday's Sunday Independent magazine about something called the Castleknock posse or some such. The premise of the article was a thesis on how so many good looking and cool people come from one village? and to prove this she lists..wait for it

Glenda Gilsen

and a loads of other Barry Egan 'society' twerps I've never heard of.

I never read such a non-article in my life, such a snivelling excuse to get another picture of robo-eyebrow-woman Glenda into the Sindo. Such a brown-nosed name-dropping hideously turd of an article.

My jaw hit the floor, as this was the lead article in said supplement. 'what is in the water in Castleknock? A good looking gene?'

Was this shit for real or did I just dream it.....

Though I very much approve of that picture of Emma Ledden- breathless ex MTV person, I agree the Independant gets worse by the day

A few years ago they did a story on a solicitor and his mistress and the whole country was going "who?" They seem to think that the lives of their friends/people in their social circles are of interest to everyone.

Their relentless publicizing of Glenda Gilson was the reason I stopped buying it
