ahoy-hoy,

my laptop has crapped out on me and i'm really, really poor so i'm thinking about buying a second hand mac. i've never had a mac before and bearing in mind i'm really, really poor i saw this ad on gumtree. can anybody tell me if this is worth buying? basically, i'm not very tech-savvy and it would be for personal use only, web surfing, watching tv shows, a bit of cyber stalking, stuff like that so i'm not concerned about having the most up to date, super-efficient model. this one seems a bargain but then again i know nothing about macs. can anyone give me advice?

You'll be limited in terms of the os you can upgrade to but for what you Want it's grand. My wife has one of those, she does work processing, web, email, tunes, photos and topping up and charging iPhone.
£180? Offer 120, go to 150.

Never value your own gear on that site, its depressing considering they are priceless to the owner. (Cue a tirade about smug mac ownership)
