I used to busk when I was over in the states on my J1 too, come to think of it. A couple of hours busking a few nights a week was easier and more lucrative than the second job all my friends had. The Yanks were mad for a bit of McAlpine's Fusiliers

Did anyone here ever busk? I did once or twice in the 90s with my mate. He was good on the acoustic, I was shite.

yeah went solo a few times. crap as I was only averaged about £15 an hour, however was more than enough to pay for booze. in the halcyon pre amp days...

edit: should point out that I only could stick about 1.5 hours at a time before I ran out of songs I could shout or got bored.

losing my religion has been replaced by halleluia (ironically enough) as a busker dirge of choice. I was a rebel - I used to play kris kritoferson songs - always a hit with the older crowd..
