RTE should be looking to defend their good name.

Isn't this exactly how panel tv shows like Questions & Answers / Question Time work? They get a heads up on the initial question but after that they're on their own for any follow up. A real issue would be if they had any say in screening the questions but i don't think that's been alleged here?

It was sold as an opportunity to phone in and put a question to the ministers when it was more accurately a chance to tune in and listen to ministers all but read from a script. I was listening and not once did the ministers sound flustered or in any way challenged. I'm not convinced that's because they're on top of their game.
