more love for this album. this sax break wouldnt be one of my favourite things about the album but born to run is probably my favourite song on it. in general the album, apart from "meeting across the river", is a bit overcooked and the title track is the only one that can truly get away with it. elsewhere his singing often strays into ridiculousness - backstreets for example is rendered unlistenable by the over use of "whooooooaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhgh" as an extra first syllable on every word.
 
are there any good trumpet solos in rock? all i can think of is the live version of Black Napkins on zappa's "make a jazz noise here" album

Love's the Born to Run me, but as a rule I HATE saxaphones in rock, they just remind me of that muscle man in chains in The Lost Boys. ugh

Someone please dig up that youtube click of the "Boss" dancing around like a gaylord practicing his "choreography" for the Born in the USA vih joe. Comedy gold.
