I'm going to burn me a few copies of my copy and get myself out of this crippling debt!

horrorthon

on a another note....

who went to check out the horrorthon?

I saw 'cradle of fear' which should have been called 'cradle of shite', one of the worst horror films i've ever seen.

'surprise movie' ended up being a test screener of Below (http://www.moviefreak.com/reviews/b/below.htm) for Ireland. That was a load of bollicks aswell.

Just saw 'Dark Water', wasn't too bad. little bit of a scare factor, not too much though.

I believe they ran into some problems with the whole surprise movie situation at the last minute.

But i could be wrong.

I enjoyed the horrorthon mostly, got to see the fog on a big screen which was nice, the first horror movie i ever saw. Really enjoyed 'My Bloody Valentine' and 'Nightmare City', stupid as heckfire but maked me laugh. They showed a documentary called 'The Killing of America' which was very very very good and should probably be seen by everyone at least once.

Right! You owe me money for escorting you and your crusty mates to fancy Dame Lane on Sunday....

That'll be a tenner....

yeah they did. Fat horror dude said that last Monday he had no movie whatsoever so he had to bring in the big guns and managed to get Below as a test screener.

Clothes don't work in this bloody weather.

I suggest a new device called an Umbrelloncho. It would be like a...well you get the picture. But the cool thing would be that it would have goggles with little wipers on them so you could see out. And possibly a small engine, so you could get around quicker. And a push button stereo radio cassette and stuff. And a toasty warm seat warmer.
And crash resistant side-panels.

Right.
So anyway.
Would someone out of THINGS please email me? That's all I really wanted to say.

it's just for displaying formatted PHP code, not for executing PHP code.

why the hell would i want to display code? is it just a feature for show-offs or something?

horrorthon

i went to the horrothon too. saw 'donnie darko' it was just a back to front and sideways 'its a wonderful life' mish mashed with rushmoreisms. found it disappointingly self aware and overblown. made me emancipate my tears for fears 'songs from the big chair' tape though. saw 'dark water' too, it was chugging along nicely until the confused and laughable ending, and maybe too much reliance on the sound effects. pity. 'the eye' and 'the ring' suffered a similar hackneyed fate. 'witchfinder general' was more gritty than expected, but still as camp as any hammer. i was sorry i hadn't brought a penny whistle. i enjoyed seeing all this stuff on the big screen whilst sharing a bag of freebie thai based crisps, sandwiched between a woman who more than slightly resembled an aging ingrid pitt, and a row of film students from dliadt. the films were introduced by the increasingly deflated and weary guy from springfields comic book store. it inspires me to write a treatise on 'why arthouse audiences don't queue'
